Eighteen prominent education figures from 18 countries will visit Korea on April 22–28 at the invitation of the KF. The visitors will include the Hon. Patrick Jason Faber, the Belize Minister of Education, Youth, Sports and Culture, as well as 10 university presidents. The participants will meet with Korean educators and officials to discuss means of expanding cooperation, and will visit major universities and educational institutes to share experiences in e-learning development and international exchange. Complementing these discussions, they will enjoy a taste of Korean traditional culture and arts in Bukchon Hanok Village and Leeum, Samsung Museum of Art. Furthermore, the participants will be granted insight into Korea’s information and telecommunications technology at SK Telecom’s ICT experience center, T.um, while learning about the security situation of their host country through a visit to the demilitarized zone dividing South and North Korea.
Under the KF’s Invitation Program for Distinguished Scholars, numerous high-level education officials and university presidents have come to Korea, with the annual program instrumental in carrying out active inter-university exchange.
