This April, in a joint effort with the National Geographic Information Institute of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, the KF will invite Eurasian personnel working in the field of Spatial Data Infrastructure (SDI) to Korea for a training workshop. Participants will include professionals from four Eurasian SDI Policy Committee member countries, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan, who work at institutions related to state information and communication, geography, land and land survey, and spatial information research.
The upcoming training is aimed at strengthening cooperation in the spatial-information sector between Korea and the Eurasian countries. It will include customized consulting for each participant on the basis of each country’s current SDI status as well as major technical education on spatial information. Through consultation with the member nations, the program will also include business meetings with industry leaders, field trips to SDI-related sites, and opportunities to experience Korean culture.
