The KF is calling upon all music fans to join the annual Cheonggyecheon Music Festival to be held at Cheonggyecheon Hanbit Park in Seoul from September 22 to 24.
Offering a wonderful opportunity to enjoy various world music pieces alongside the city’s downtown stream, the festival will present Dutch jazz rap, Angolan pop music, a clarinet and guitar duo from Costa Rica, and a performance on the kanun, a traditional Turkish instrument. Also on the open-air stage will be a rare and special performance by a Paraguayan classical ensemble playing recycled instruments, as well as a French jazz band playing the popular Korean song, “The Jangchungdan Park That Mist.”
The festival is set to run for only three days, but it will take audiences on a whirlwind tour of eight countries from across Africa, Europe and South America. For detailed information about the performers and program schedule, visit the event’s Facebook page (www.facebook.com/
