On October 21–22, the Korea Foundation teamed up with the Suwon Center for International Cooperation (a member of KF’s Korea Network for International Exchange) to conduct a theme field trip for international residents. Eight Korean student volunteers joined 42 international residents from Seoul and Suwon for this exchange, during which the international participants shared stories about how they had ended up in Korea and how they had enjoyed it thus far.
The main activity was a thorough exploration of Suwon, followed by group activities that proved highly enjoyable for everyone. Participants learned how to prepare royal Korean cuisine and make traditional handicrafts like hanji mirrors and incense pouches. After conclusion of the group activities, the participants shared their experiences and impressions.
