Korea-Japan Youth Exchange Program

Following an agreement reached during the 5th Korea-Japan Ministerial Talks in August 1971, the Korean and Japanese foreign ministries have been sending delegations of university students to each other’s country since 1972. From Nov. 4–13, a delegation of Korean university students will travel to Japan to experience Japan’s cuisine. The students will have an opportunity to experience Japanese food culture by making dango and taking part in a tea ceremony, in addition to taking a field trip to Tsukiji Market, and visiting the Japanese Foreign Ministry, Edo-Tokyo Museum, and cultural sites in Kyoto and Osaka. Their understanding of Japan will be enhanced through visits to Japanese universities and a homestay experience.
