Workshop for Curator Staff
at Museums in Eurasia

Together with the National Museum of Korean Contemporary History, the Korea Foundation is conducting a Workshop for Curators at Eurasia Museums program on Nov. 3–12, 2014, for 13 representatives of museums in 11 Eurasian countries. The workshop is being presented as one of the Foundation’s Korea Festival program events on Eurasia. The workshop program is intended to provide a comprehensive introduction to Korean history, culture, and art, and to facilitate the building of a personal network of Korean and Eurasian museum staff in an effort to have museums in Eurasia, with a general lack of Korean artwork collections, present Korea-related exhibitions and informational programs. In line with a theme of “The Meeting of Korea and Eurasia,” the workshop will include lectures by Korean experts and field trips to relevant organizations so that participants can acquire knowledge about Korean culture and arts, as well as an understanding of Korea’s economic development and contemporary society.
