Professional Training for KF Professors
Dispatched to Universities Abroad

In collaboration with the International Association for Korean Language Education (IAKLE), the Korea Foundation organized a training program for the visiting professors who are being, or have recently been, dispatched to overseas universities by the Korea Foundation as an effort to upgrade the effectiveness of the KF Visiting Professors Program, in terms of enhancing their capability to offer courses on Korean Studies and Korean language instruction. The training program included lectures on general topics, such as “Opportunities and Challenges for Korean Studies Overseas” and “Conditions for Reunification and Diplomacy on the Korean Peninsula,” as well as lectures on effective teaching methods for Korean language education and Korean Studies courses. It also provided the participants with information on the Korea Foundation’s programs and other related organizations that provide support for Korean Studies abroad. In particular, since this year’s training program was also broadcast live online, not only the visiting professors, who were physically present at the program, (14 professors dispatched to 14 universities in 14 countries), but also the visiting professors who had already been dispatched abroad were able to participate.
