Korean Culture Week at Malaga University in Spain

Korean Culture Week at Malaga University in Spain

A week of Korean culture events was presented at Malaga University in Spain on October 23-30. Now in its fourth year, this program is designed to introduce Korean culture to the general public and students of Malaga University and locals as a form of cultural exchange between Korea and Spain.

In addition to K-pop festival, which is widely known among the residents, the Korean Culture Week program included a variety of hands-on cultural experiences, such as the trying on hanbok, tasting Korean food, and an essay contest about Korean literature. Seminars introducing Korean literature and movies were also held. The week wrapped up with a discussion about the current status of cultural exchange between Korea and Spain, and ideas to promote further exchange in the future. In addition, an exhibition titled Koreans and Korea's Cities was held throughout the Korean Culture Week, which provided Spanish audiences with a chance to become more familiar with Korea.
